Founder Ruju Jasani is an award-winning interior architect who works across retail, hospitality and residential. Ruju designs for social well-being as well as business outcomes. Her work comprises projects in the United States, Europe, China and India.
Raised in Bombay, Ruju moved to the United States to study interior architecture in San Francisco. After graduation, she began her career in New York in the early 2000s at Mancini Duffy where she designed corporate headquarters for Fortune 500 companies. From collaborations with Frank Repas Architecture on new build commercial riverfront developments in Shanghai to luxury residential architecture, restoration and special events with BWArchitects, Ruju’s work bridges market sectors and encompasses a wide range of typology and scale. In 2014, Ruju joined Gensler San Francisco, as a leader in the retail practice, guiding brands to establish market leadership and working with real estate owners to create neighborhood destinations.
Ruju is a licensed designer, interior architect, writer and speaker. Since 2023, she is a National Board Director-at-Large of the American Society of Interior Designers (ASID). Ruju previously served as national Co-Chair of ASID’s Committee on Adaptive Living (CoAL) 2020-2023 and was invited to contribute to IIDA’s National Equity Council. She is a professional member of ICSC, ASID, IIDA, AIA and SEED.
